About Kyounesa Foundation

Welcome to Kyounesa Foundation, where every child matters. Our mission is to support, guide, and protect underprivileged children in Haiti by giving them access to education, child care, and emotional support.

We have been supporting the children with no parents in Haiti for over 20 years to become the leaders of tomorrow through education and community care.

What we believe is in creating a brighter future through education, care, and hope for Haiti’s children. Because every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential and build a life filled with dignity and hope. 🌍💙

Meet Edline

A woman empowering Haitian children today to become strong adults tomorrow.

Mary Edline Paul Pierre (Owner)

Evolving from the Kyounesa Kindergarten established in 2007 by Marie Edline P. Pierre, the Kyounesa Foundation was created to address Haiti’s severe social and economic challenges. The foundation serves vulnerable children between the ages of two and twelve. Recognizing that many parents living in poverty could not afford an education for their children, Edline halved the school's tuition. Driven by a deep sense of civic duty, her dream is to keep neglected children off the streets and provide them with a better future. She does everything in her power to keep the students safe and the school operational, tirelessly seeking outside support. Donations are vital to help cover teacher salaries, school supplies, and daily operations. With the school term closing soon, Edline is currently working to organize an educational camp so the children can continue to learn and thrive in a safe environment.
